Professional Motor Oy's warranty conditions from 1.2.2025

General terms and conditions
The warranty of the products is governed by the warranty conditions. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period, but not damage caused by normal wear and tear, incorrect installation or use, or external causes.

Professional Motor Oy sells products under warranty for two years for consumer use or one year for professional use. The professional use referred to here includes taxi, transport, contracting, earthmoving and agricultural use. If the end customer of the product is a business, the warranty conditions treat it as professional use. If the product was sold to a business, such as a garage, which attached the product to a consumer customer's product, the warranty terms for consumer use apply.

Professional Motor Oy may investigate the warranty conditions itself or forward the product to a third party for warranty handling.

Professional Motor Oy has the right, at its option, to repair the defective product, deliver a replacement product, grant a price reduction corresponding to the defect or refund the purchase price.

The customer must carefully inspect the product immediately after delivery. A complaint about a defective product or delivery must be made in writing to Professional Motor Oy without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the product.

The maximum amount of Professional Motor Oy's liability for damages is in all cases the amount of the price of the defective, defective or delayed product, excluding VAT. Professional Motor Ltd shall not be liable for any loss of income or profit or any other indirect or consequential loss or damage or damage to a third party.

We will compensate you for a defect in the product we sell, but not for consequential damages such as downtime, loss of earnings, travel expenses, freight, per diem, overtime or repairs. If a claim results in a return of the Products to us, we will be liable for the costs of such return.

If the product is purchased from a source other than Professional Motor Ltd, even if it is one of the brands represented by Professional Motor Ltd, we will not process the warranty claim or be liable for compensation.

If damage to the product is caused by a cause other than the product itself (e.g. low oil pressure, exhaust air leaks, dirty oil, dirty intake air), the warranty does not cover damage to the product.

Guarantee procedure and compensation
Complaints must be made within 14 days of discovery of the error. In the case of a warranty claim, a warranty claim must be sent to Professional Motor Ltd. within 14 days of discovery of the defect. The customer must retain any other parts used to repair the subject of the warranty claim for the duration of the warranty claim and return them to Professional Motor Ltd for examination upon request.

The warranty claim will be handled between Professional Motor Oy and the original buyer. Professional Motor Ltd does not deal with warranty claims with third parties not related to the original commercial relationship.

In principle, the costs of finding the fault in the vehicle are not eligible for reimbursement, even if the fault is caused by a defect in the product covered by the guarantee.

Travel expenses, replacement car and similar indirect or indirect costs are not reimbursed.

The warranty claim must be filled in carefully and submitted to Professional Motor Oy.

The guarantee application must be accompanied by:
Product order details and documents
Documentation of the product installation (company that installed the product, work order or copy of invoice showing previous installation of the product sold).
If the customer has other issues to be taken into account in the warranty claim, please indicate them separately in the warranty claim.

The customer must deliver the product to Professional Motor Oy for examination. Premature destruction of the product will prevent it from being covered by the warranty.

The Customer shall ensure that any customer or third party data that may be contained in the product it supplies to Professional Motor Ltd. has been properly backed up and/or deleted. Professional Motor Ltd shall not be liable for any data that may be lost during a warranty inspection.

During the investigation, the product may have to be dismantled or broken. Professional Motor Oy is not liable for any resulting damage if the defect is not covered by the warranty.

Professional Motor Oy has the right to destroy a product that has not been collected by the customer within 14 days after the customer has been informed that the defect is not covered by the warranty or liability for defects and the product is available for collection. Professional Motor Ltd. is entitled to charge the customer for the costs of destruction.

Credit instructions for an accepted warranty claim will be provided with the accepted warranty claim.
